How to make vinyl blinds white again. Vinyl blinds are not good for that reason. Do your vinyl shutters have the faded and chalky film on them. Is there a product out there that removes the oxi. To do so fill a bathtub with cold water and add 2 to 3 cups of bleach.
Spray it lightly again and then use a soft scrub brush to gently clean the frame. Do this once with the blinds closed and again with them open to make sure you remove all the surface dirt. In the next picture the left side has 2 coats and the right side only one. Dust both sides of all the slats of your blinds thoroughly with a dry rag.
Use what you have on hand. You can always switch to aluminum or go to an off white vinyl blind to prevent yellowing from being so noticeable. You just need to hang the blinds in a way to be able to open and close the blinds. Unfortunately once they fade not much can be done.
I let it dried a bit before closing the blinds and spraypainting again. Spray the vinyl window with the vinegar solution or cleaner and let it sit for several minutes. This yellowing can be from the sunshine or a faulty product. How can you get them looking like new again.
Bleach is a natural whitener and can sometimes remove the yellowing. Mix 1 part bleach with 2 parts water. And then spray until the brown is gone. Remove the blinds from your windows and place them in the bleach bath.
Make sure to submerge every part of your blinds in the water and soak them for at least 10 minutes. I used two trestles and some leftover wood.
